GHOST RIDERS, RAPID SUPPORT AND SURFACE WARRIORS PAST AND PRESENT!!! Today the 689th Ghost Riders had to say farewell to CW3 Thomas Perry III. It was a bittersweet moment. Deeply saddened that he has to move on to more responsibility, within a new command, yet very proud of the selfless contributions he has made on behalf of our Ghost Rider family. Chief Perry came to our unit with the sole intent of making us and himself better! He was able to inspire a lot of us to excel in our career field and in our personal lives. Chief Perry took the responsibility of reorganizing, managing and maintaining BLDG 1204, The Deployment Processing Center (DPC). Chief Perry planned, coordinated and supervised training events that would include personnel from the 7th Transportation Brigade Expeditionary, Naval Expeditionary Port Units (EPU), Contingency Response Groups (CRG), SDDC Brigades and Battalions, U.S. Army Reserve Units and Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM). Chief Perry is the Superior Technical Expert in the Mobility Officer career field. He was able to provide Knowledgeable instructions, purpose, direction, motivation, advice and sound counsel to all Service Members from E-1 to O-10, GS to SES and if the opportunity would have arose, Service Secretaries to the President of the United States! Chief Perry we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your unwavering support and commitment to excellence. We wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors! God Bless! I say HOOAH!!!!
