GIFTS FROM HEAVEN....... This sweet cake is PIP SQUEAK...Bless his heart, he has had a terrible 36hrs....His world has been turned upside down!!! (Literally) He, his momma & her friend were in a very serious accident on the Dustin Rd. yesterday morning.....Thankfully, both survived, but momma will need months of extensive care..... Honestly, I dont know why a man appeared on my porch.....He didnt remember I volunteered for HAART until I mentioned it! He had retrieved this little guy from the scene & needed help! Im so glad he chose to help this little one, otherwise I dont think Pip Squeak would be here, today.....BLESS this man for recognizing this little dog needed help, too! ALL other scenarios (That I can think of) would have ended much differently & much worse!!! This gentleman filled me in on everything that had happened & I rushed Pip Squeak to the Vet....I knew something was wrong!!!!! We were leaning towards a back injury, but no such luck.....He was thrown from the back seat of this car to the front! After further evaluation & xrays, its not his back at all....He has a dislocated hip!!!! We chose to go the route of first trying to snap it back in joint (Under anesthetic) & re-evaluate/re xray this morning.....Well unfortunately, it didnt hold & its out again.....The only thing that will let this little guy have normal use of his leg again, will be a hip surgery, to repair the joint.... Very expensive surgery!!! What to do, what to do????I do have the next of kins permission to proceed, but they made it clear, no one can afford this!! Not even close....... This little guy is soooooo sweet & hes been traumatized.....I personally think he deserves his leg fixed, but if we cant do it, then we cant do it!!!! He is safely in my care and at the moment on antibiotics & pain management.....He will remain in my care throughout whatever we choose, including all care for at least a month post surgery & rehabilitation....All I told my husband, whos In Houston at MD Anderson, is that Id like to believe that a stranger would do this for me and my little dog, if the shoe was on the other foot! Thankfully, it was in a text!! Not person to person, so to speak!! ;) We would like to help this little one....We are already at $311 for everything so far & are looking at $550 more for the hip surgery....
