GIRL STUDENT STABBED TO DEATH .. RAJOURI, 13 Nov. Thursday Agirl student in border distt. of Rajouri on Thursday was stabbed to death in a bus by a boy. Eyewitnesses said that DEEP KUMARI, D/O MUKESH SHARMA resident of KALAR in the district was returning to her home in a bus and when it reached KEARI, a boy identified as ASHISH KUMAR, S/O SATISH KUMAR, stabbed her with a knife to death. Witnesses said the other commuters caught hold of the boy and thrashed him. Interestingly, they said, the boy consumed some poisonous substance after killing the girl.The girl was studying in 2nd Year (BA) at SVS College for Women. Soon after the incident, the relatives of the boy, who stabbed the girl to the death, blocked Jammu-Rajouri Highway at Muradpur for about 4 hours and demanded his release from people. However, the SP-Dr Haseeb Mughal along with other police officials reached on the spot and informed boy’s relatives that he is in police custody. Police sources said the boy was initially rushed to SDH Rajouri, but, they said, he was shifted to Medical College Jammu in critical condition. Police have registered a case. BhadarwahTimes
