GIVE WAR A CHANCE.. Did the Procession for Peace against the Imperialist War that walked pass the Agartala roads yesterday raise any slogan against the ISIS run Caliphates war against ..the others ...? Or was it wholly against that popular whipping kid Israel?... Personally speaking I find demand for Piecemeal Peace is worse as it is highly likely that people will find it a result of selective amnesia caused by political considerations, often based on local imperatives. Does the word imperialism still carry the oft repeated, Left prescribed connotation - which is by all intents and purpose directed to only, and only Americans...?? Peace did never prevail or come by with processions on road. It depends on geo-strategic realities and ground experience gained from emerging political, economic, ethnic and religious factors-most importantly national interest. And also, the fact that there were thousands of people, or for that matter even lakhs of people including children, students or government employees who felt it was more important to take to the roads than studying or delivering his or her duties, asking for some very lofty goals like peace in some distant historically beleaguered lands, does not essentially mean it was arisen out of a very considered opinion either. The length of the procession or a march does not necessarily qualify a particular demand, too. In fact, a demand even from the majority can also be a wholly misjudged action- provided as to how the majority wisdom is guided/ influenced/ swayed by political ,or more precisely party interest- extending a long drawn shadow to be cast across the future. Many many years ago, a massive crowd- a majority of people actually- asked for Barabbas in place of Jesus and then sent, by expressed opinion, the Man of Peace to Cross. Is not it that Mahatma Gandhi was all for Khilafat -the movement that ultimately resulted in in Moplah rebellion ? Now with a Caliphate in place what would he have said today, were he alive now ? Irony of popular demand, you may say. The Geeta prescribed War is often required , in fact, a binding responsibility when it comes to a greater good. I am personally right now wholeheartedly for a decisive War against and whole scale elimination of the ISIS characters, so that these rabid rats are wiped out of the face of earth and forever. Plague is setting in and make no mistake about it. Lets give the War a chance...full scale and all encompassing..War.. for lasting peace...Only after that perhaps we can Imagine together with John Lennon....
