GIZMO nicknamed the Chichihuahua approximately 1997 to 1-7-2015 RIP my sweet Gizmo. I am heartbroken that you are gone. I hope and pray now that you are at peace. We never really knew how old you were but the best guess is you were 17 or 18. You never competed in the dog sports but was a great little agility demo dog in your younger years. You learned flyball but never quite mastered the art of triggering the box and catching the ball at the same time. Had you had the opportunity to learn on the faster boxes of today I think you would have been a great little height dog. You loved to play fetch with your little baby balls that only you were allowed to have. The other dogs never touched them. I loved to watch you Run, Run, Run as I called it when you would race up the back of the couch, around the hallway, thru the kitchen and back into the living room at warp speed just to slid to a stop and wait for me to say it again, Run, Run, Run…. then you would do it all over again. I will miss hearing you, Karma and Nevada howl at the police/fire sirens. You only weighed 10 pounds but kept up with all the big dogs and really was the alpha pup cause nobody not even Nevada messed with Little Gizmo. If they stepped on you while out playing you gave them the whatfors and they would just turn away. It was like they said “Okay fine, Sorry” This last year I saw that you were declining and starting to show your age. You no longer howled at those sirens as I think your hearing was quite diminished. You couldn’t go in and out the new doggie door without help and you did have some ole timer episodes but all in all your health was pretty good. You stopped playing with the other pups and pretty much just slept. I know you were having some pain with your teeth but it didn’t stop you from your favorite thing in the whole world… FOOD. My only comfort now is that you no longer have any tooth pain and are now that young puppy again. I hope and pray that Shadow, Sarah, Koby and Kassie have found you and that you are all playing together like you did when you were young. Your best friend Boomer is so very sad and I know is missing you. I love you my sweet boy. I am so sorry!!
