GJM Nagri-Dhajay unit welcomes hill MLAs’ move SUKKAYPOKHARI, 29 May 2014: The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha Nagri-Dhajay unit has welcomed the decision taken by the three hill MLAs to move from treasury bench to the opposition bench in the state assembly. The unit president Anjul Chauhan said the current situation is conducive for the formation of Gorkhalan and there should be representative from the hills to make the voice louder in the assembly. Chauhan said, “The three MLA have taken the right decision to sit in the opposition bench in the assembly. It will give our demand a stronger base and also it is time to make the state government realize that the TMC and Morcha have difference in opinion.” Moreover, with the NDA-government keen on promoting smaller states, the long standing demand of Gorkhaland will be fulfilled within the next five years, he claimed.
