GJM regional units conduct meeting DEEP MILAN PRADHAN, MIRIK, 22 Jun 2014: In order to ramp up organisational activities in the hills, the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha’s regional units from Soureni-Tingling and Phugudi-Manju today conducted a joint meeting in Soureni. Presided over by local leader NK Rana, the meeting saw the presence of GTA Soureni sabhasad Arun Singhchi and convener Binod Khaling along with other leaders of the two units. Discussions were held about party chief Bimal Gurung’s vision to develop the region as also to further strengthen the party’s base. Singhchi said the GTA will bring in new projects under schemes such as the RIDF, BADP, IAY, EWS and ICDS to develop the Soureni region. The meeting also discussed about the party’s preparation and activities for the panchayat and state assembly elections. Gorkha Primary Teachers’ Association member BM Subba, trade union member Amber Adhikari and ex-servicemen member MK Ghimiray also spoke during the meet.
