Shaun Howard will be Secretary, Sue Furlong Treasurer and Directors will be Alison Campbell, Lee Lessenberry and Barrett Lessenberry. Cindy Greer, with the accounting firm of Campbell, Myers and Rutledge reported that the audit for the fiscal year ending June 30th 2014 has clear opinion and is in good standing The Board approved adding the position of District Migrant Advocate, a position previously filled within the District, but was eliminated when enrollment dropped. Enrollment is back up and the board decided this position to be benefitial. The Board approved an additional full time Special Education Instructional Assistant Position for South Green Elementary. The additional assistant was deemed necessary for the rest of this school year due to the rise in enrollment. Head Coach and Assistant Head baseball Coach positions for Glasgow Middle School were approved, along with a combined stipend amount of $2,000 to be paid from district funds. Lee Lessenberry made the motion to approve but said the board will eventually need to be careful in adopting this path, as 82% of their operating budget is going to salaries and only leaves 18% for operational expenses available to the Board. The Board also approved a new position, Glasgow Education Foundation Fundraising/Public Relations Coordinator. The Board hopes this position will pay for itself and spoke about having quarterly or bi-monthly reports from this position to the Board and revisit its necessity next January.
