GLOBAL HAND WASHING DAY (15th October 2014) Today Muslim Charity in collaboration with its partners celebrated Global Handwashing Day. This initiative was originally created for children and schools, but it is now celebrated by 20 million people in over a 100 countries around the world. Its primary function is to raise awareness of the benefits of hand washing with soap. This year Muslim Charity had arranged a variety of activities to foster a culture of hand washing, including: - Awareness sessions on the importance of hand washing in Government schools and local communities - Hand washing competitions - Student lead rallies - Personal stories from students of good hygiene practices.
