GLOW TODAY: A Month Of Peace And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:39) A windy storm arose in the sea and here was Jesus and His disciples right in the midst of it all. Our blessed Lord was tired after a long day and was asleep in the deck with His head on a cushion. The disciples at the beginning tried to keep the boat in control, but the storm was huge and the water started filling the boat threatening to sink it. To make matters worse, Jesus was silent. How often do we also experience the same? We see problems increasing and not decreasing. There may be problems that threaten our family, career, children or ministry. The silence of heavens can add to the fear factor too. The disciples then awoke Jesus. He arose and rebuked the wind. He dealt with the wind as He dealt with living beings. The Lord created everything by His word. He also sustains it all by the word of His power. Nothing is beyond the power of Gods word. The winds had to obey the word of God. The sea all of a sudden experienced a great calm as Jesus commanded, Peace, be still. This month be assured that it’s He who brought you here and He can control anything by His word.
