GLOW TODAY: Conflict Management (2) The Israelites were in a tight spot as they were in the wilderness chased by the Egyptian Army and staring in front of the Red Sea. It was like a dead end but God opened a way. Sharing 4 ways in which we can effectively manage our conflicts. Exodus 14:11-16 “And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Speak not about your problems - but speak about the promises The Israelites used the word Egypt/Egyptians almost six times in two verses. Speaking too much of your problems have a multiplying effect. Your words have power. Instead of speaking of your problems, confess His promises repeatedly. We should learn not to dwell in the past. As long as we live in the past, we won’t be able to see the breakthrough which God loves to provide for us. (See Isaiah 43:18-19) Sense Deliverance by His word and not fear Moses sensed deliverance as the magnitude of the problem increased. He could sense the hand of God and not fear that the Egyptian army brought along with it. Only Moses could sense it. When we live according to His word, His Spirit gives us boldness and never fear. (Psalm 27:1) See the enemy’s destruction and not yours The Egyptians you see today, you will see no more - declared Moses. When problems come, don’t imagine your destruction. Always see with the eyes of faith that these problems are temporary and God will break through. God will!! Stretch the Faith Level God asked Moses to stretch his rod. God always expects a point of contact of your faith. When trying situations arise, take authority over those. As Moses stretched the rod, God opened a highway for His people through the Red Sea. God who brought you to it will take you through it. Use the name of the Lord Jesus - stretch your hand over the sick and the oppressed. Stretch your faith and see the breakthrough. #GlowToday
