GLOW TODAY: Deny the Tag Team That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:4) A tag team championships test the team effort of two players together. The flesh and sin are interconnected. Sin gets a good environment to breed in the flesh. The thoughts, desires, addictions in the flesh produces its fruit which is sin. God intends that we become storehouses of His righteousness. The law is the standard and as long as the flesh and sin duo is inside, the righteousness of the law cannot be fulfilled in us. Thus He left His heavenly abode, came down to the earth and lived amongst us. Our Lord Jesus condemned sin that was resident in our bodies as He died on the cross. The flesh is now desperately looking for its partner. The news however is there is a strong opponent who is against the duo of sin and flesh and thats the blessed Spirit. He is our companion who guides us in paths of righteousness. Christ died so that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us. This righteousness can only be fulfilled in them who walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. When lustful thoughts, anger, rage and harmful addictions try to impose its way and longs to partner with the flesh, be careful to bring it all to captivity. We have the Dunamis power of the Holy Spirit who aids us constantly in denying the flesh its opportunity to sin.
