GLOW TODAY: Joint Heirs with Christ! And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (Rom 8:17) The seal of the Holy Spirit in a believer starts a sacred fellowship with God. The Holy Spirit communes with us and testifies to our Spirit that we are children of God. God cannot lie and He impresses this truth on a Spirit led Christian. St. Paul expounds here on the enormous opportunity that is opened to those who are the children of God. When being children, we are the heirs of God. All what He has is ours. No devil can block the spiritual and physical blessings that God has for us. Earlier we were enemies with God, we had no connection with Him. We were restricted or kept away from accessing the throne room of God. Now because of the sacrifice of our blessed Lord and the redemption He has given, we are heirs of God. This also implies that we are joint heirs with Christ. The spiritual authority, identity and blessedness revealed by the Lord Jesus is ours. We need to tap in to it and live as children of God. The life of our Lord Jesus should never leave our focus. When we suffer, we suffer with Him. Remember sufferings are not the end of a Christian. If we suffer with Him, we would be glorified together with Him. The blessings and position lost in Eden is regained through Christ. The life experiences of Jesus Christ is our portion and because He lives, we also will live.
