GLOW TODAY: Liberty! Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1) God gave the law to the people of Israel through Moses. It was His standard specifically to the people of Israel and the covenant was sealed. God revealed His plan to redeem the whole world by sending His Son and the law that was against us entering the kingdom was nailed on the cross. Our Lord Jesus gave us the ultimate victory and liberty over sin and death. Nevertheless it’s our duty to stand fast in the liberty and freedom for which He has freed us. Stand fast is commonly used in military to hold ones ground and not yield to it. We should be strong in this doctrine lest the enemy deceive us. We can be entangled again with the yoke of bondage by negating and giving importance to circumcision and sacrifices which was mandated by the law. Christ however became our sacrifice and we neednt observe these requirements. We should stand fast in our liberty and also live by the Spirit. We should bear the fruit of the Spirit and live in step with the Spirit of God. We should not give the flesh an opportunity to satisfy its sinful passions. Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts. The liberty Christ gave us has come by a price and we ought to be people who are fruit bearing and thereby bringing glory to God in and through our lives For further reading: Galatians 5 #GlowToday
