GM AF go getters, I hope that you shine bright today, like a star on a starry night!!! Remember that we are go getters, going to get what we want. If you want Powerful Results; you have to put in the work to Achieve; your hopes, your dreams, and your goals. The same holds true for our physical fitness; the two go hand in hand. If you are in good health; then your body will function more efficiently helping you to be more effective in every area of your life. Family we have briefly in a previous email talked about the effects that deadly diseases play in the lives of black Americans. It is now time for a surprise quiz. Yes, you heard me correctly; a surprise quiz (lol)!!! Of course there is an incentive!!! The first two people who can tell me if the following statement is true or false will receive a free fitness assessment, and a free personal training session. True or False; Diabetes is 60% more common in black Americans than in white Americans. Family, now do you see the benefits of not deleting my emails. On November 22nd we will be giving away 3 Thanksgiving Turkeys. Yes!!! 3 members with the most workout hours logged in between now and the 22nd of the month will win a free turkey. Not to mention, we have a can food drive going on right now as well. We all know it is the holidays were we love to give; and we all love a good old can food drive this time of year. Hey family, If you dont know the worth of your personal training dept. I suggest that you take a look around at the difference in some of the personal training clients that you see around the club. You can start with 62 year old Ron one of our Superstars of the month training with a trainer here at the club. Hes lost 22 lbs. in 55 days and he is 62 years old. Yes; he is an inspiration to us all. Btw family, start early with your holiday giving by referring a friend to your AF. Help family, and friends this holiday season by encouraging them to come and get in shape. Remember we talked about this and I said, It is also the month where we start cooking all the wonderful holiday dishes (those awesome recipes that have been passed down from grandmother to grandmother) that we love to share with family, and friends. This is also the 1st month of 2 months where we start, or began to pack on the pounds as we celebrate in our eating of those delightful family dishes such as, sweet potato pie, candid yams, macaroni and cheese, and the wonderfulness, and the bliss is unlimited (trying to say the list is endless, lol). Therefore, family lets start today by making a conscious effort to watch the size of the plates we fix or the amount of mickey ds that we consume. Portions (sizes) of our 5 daily meals matter now because the holidays are here and the inevitable is coming. It is commonly asserted that the average American gains 5lb (2.3 kg) or more over the holiday period between Thanksgiving and New Years Day.
