GM has issued a recall for more than 50,000 SUVs because of possible false readings on fuel gauges. A software problem could lead to a faulty reading and could cause drivers to run out of fuel without any warning. This could put the vehicle at risk of stalling and increases the risk of a crash. The recall involves 2014 models of the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia. GM will reprogram the software for free, starting immediately.
