GM to all my FB Friends! Back at home, up this morning watching one of the biggest College Football rivalries: Michigan-vs- Ohio State! My mind took me back to my teenage years & when i was a football player at James D. Ryan junior High School. They had just built the library on Scott St. By Jack Yates High School. I would walk to the library & go in & sit for hours reading books about Football at schools like, Michigan,Ohio State,Florida,Penn State etc. I would say to myself that one day, I would leave the hood & go to one of those Universities to play Football. That was going to be my escape from The Hood. These schools had Great coaches like, Bo Schembecler,Woody Hayes,Steve Spurrier,Joe Paterno. On my way back home I would stop by the U of H & watch one of the best teams to ever play in the Southwest Conference, with their great coach Bill Yeoman along with an awesome QB in Danny Davis, who is now The Proud Pastor of The Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church. I had a plan, but God had a different plan. I went on to Stephen F Austin High School. Played football & developed some awesome friendships. Work on a job 30 years, was blessed by & able to be a blessing to a few lives. So when I say I wouldnt take nothing for my journey,I Trully Mean It!
