GO FOR GOLD AT SKI APACHE Terrain Park Competition Finals January 24 Adventurous skiers and snowboarders at Ski Apache are invited to participate in the Terrain Park Competition Finals Saturday, January 24. The renowned four-part terrain park competition began December 27, 2014 and will wrap up with the finals offering winners in each age division awesome prizes, medals and bragging rights. Each of the terrain park competitions in the series have gotten bigger and better as athletes of all ages and skill levels throw their best tricks to impress the judges. Skiers and snowboarders can enter the competition series in one of four age divisions—Peanut, 12 and under, 13-18 and Open Division Jackpot—dividing skiers and snowboarders for a level playing field. Athletes are judged on the flow and fluidity of each of their tricks, creativity, technical difficulty and style with prizes awarded to first, second and third place. Signups are open now for all athletes, even if they have not participated in previous events. Spectators are always welcome to witness the action. Participants under the age of 18 are required to wear helmets and all competitors must have their own lift ticket.
