GO! God commands us to GO. We need permission to stay! ~~~~~ *So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19 ERV) ~~~~~~ Jesus never excused those who struggled to follow Him. (Luke 9:57-62) He made it clear that to follow Him meant He set the direction and they were to follow. Success where we are can be our greatest hindrance to going where Jesus wants us to be. Wherever He leads, be prepared to GO. ~~~~~ *They were all traveling along the road. Someone said to Jesus, “I will follow you anywhere you go.” He answered, “The foxes have holes to live in. The birds have nests. But the Son of Man has no place where he can rest his head.” Jesus said to another man, “Follow me!” But the man said, “Lord, let me go and bury my father first.” But Jesus said to him, “Let the people who are spiritually dead bury their own dead. You must go and tell about God’s kingdom.” Another man said, “I will follow you, Lord, but first let me go and say goodbye to my family.” Jesus said, “Anyone who begins to plow a field but looks back is not prepared for God’s kingdom.” (Luke 9:57-62 ERV) ~~~~~ So what does Jesus want from us? TOTAL DEDICATION , not half-hearted commitment. We have to accept the cross along with the crown, judgment as well as mercy. True discipleship requires instant action and sacrifice.
