GO! SEE! DO! Starring North Carolina! (Nov 15, 2014, through Sept 7, 2015) See costumes and props from Iron Man 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bull Durham and more! Starring North Carolina! will be the first major exhibition about the state’s role in the film industry. Presented in partnership with the N.C. Film Office, the approximately 8,000-square-foot exhibit will highlight North Carolina’s continuing presence in the film industry for more than 100 years. Some 3,000 films and television programs have been made in the Tar Heel State. Using artifacts, images, movie clips and a variety of interactive components, Starring North Carolina! will offer a fascinating look at our homegrown movie business. The exhibit is sponsored in part by the N.C. Museum of History Associates. Starring North Carolina! will be part of a yearlong celebration that includes a monthly film series from Sept. 12, 2014, through August 14, 2015, and the Longleaf Film Festival Saturday, May 2, 2015.
