GOALS! GOALS! GOALS! None of this New year, New me crap! Setting a goal or resolution a year in advance just doesnt work for me. I get too caught up in everything else and forget what I had written down on that first morning of the year. With an intention like... Ill start tomorrow because I have a year to do it. Nothing gets done! So I am setting time bound goals of 8 weeks to start this year! 1. Run Bussellton Half Marathon on Feb 7th. - Allows me 35 days to train in a minimilist fashion. No more than 2-3 runs per week. 1-2 short threshold runs of 20 mins or less + 1 run of no more than 10kms. Note: I havent ran farther than 5kms in about a year. 2. Increase my static breath hold to 5 mins by March 1st. 4. Write 2 pages a day. 4. Save an extra $4,500 into my travel account by March 1st. 5. No decisions on when and where I am adventuring to next before March 1st. - I am letting opportunities present themselves to me rather than picking a place and sticking to it! - Opportunities so far have been east coast of South America from Argentina to Venezuela, another stint in Canada for the summer, and a year working and adventuring in Scandinavia. Bring on the next 56 days! YEEEOOOWWWWWW!
