GOD HAS NO FAVOURITES: MATTHEW 5: 44-45 - "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. "For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?” IT IS TRUE ! God has no favourites! He loves the obedient, he loves the faithful, he loves the unfaithful sinners, he loves even those who do much evil and don’t seem to care one bit. Does this make any sense to you? Not from a human stand point, but we have to accept the fact that there are all kinds of everything that we puny little humans will never, ever understand in the here and now. God sees the multitudes who are balancing on the fence, ready to fall one way or be lifted the other. He sees those who have fallen, but are ready to accept His mercy and grace to rise again. He sees those who are walking with Him now but are at great risk, opening themselves to temptation and allowing the devil to entice. He sees the ones who have not yet accepted Him, but have very little time left on earth. And He sees those who will never accept His gift of salvation, because they have firmly decided to give themselves over to the false gods of money, success, pleasure, power and other perishable things in this world. He loves us ALL with the same kind of love. He wants ALL to repent and to be saved, but sadly, He knows that this is not going to be the case. He wants ALL to accept His Divine Mercy now, so that none will perish, but sadly, He knows that some will continue to reject Him even in their dying breath. But for us who know nothing about anything, just as God allows His sun to rise on the evil and the good, we must continue to treat each other as though ALL can be saved, with love, patience and encouragement, as we never stop spreading THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. PRAISE BE TO JESUS !
