GOD IS LOVE 1 Jn. 4:7-12 It is repeated again and again that the singular action of God giving His only begotten Son to die for sinners is the undeniable proof that He loves man. God is not reciprocating love to those who love Him, rather He shows His love to those who do not seek Him, to those who do not love Him, and even to those who hate His precepts. To say God is love implies that all His actions are motivated by love, that is, love shines through all His actions. God’s love for man should motivate His children to love others. A Christian’s claim to being a child of God is hollow and without substance if he does not love other men. To claim to love God when we find it difficult to love man, for whatever the reason, is to say the least a falsehood. Point of Emphasis: He who does not love other people does not know God, for God is love. Prayer Point: Assist me O God, to love other people as you love me. YOU ARE BLESSED SHALOM
