GOD IS WAITING TO BLESS YOU Our God is a God of blessing and His divine intention has always been to bless. After creating man & before His first instructions to man to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, Genesis 1:28 says He first blessed them. The blessing came first. This establishes that God intention has always been to bless. The blessing had to come first because it is the empowerment to prosper. It is a covenant of blessing!!! Genesis 12:2,3 – …I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. THIS IS DEFINITELY A COVENANT OF BLESSING. This is Abrahams blessing. This covenant of blessing spanned through the generations all the way even into the New Testament where in Galatians 3:13,14 it says: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it written, cursed is every one that hangs on a tree: THAT THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ… And in verse 29 it says And if you be Christs, then are you Abrahams seed, and heirs according to the promise. IF YOU ARE CHRISTS, YOU ARE ABRAHAMS SEED. Abrahams blessings are yours. In Christ I can appropriate every blessing of Abraham. That means: He will make me a great nation, He will bless me and make my name great; and I will be a blessing… There are so many blessings waiting to be had that are never received. Such a waste. Especially since those who need it the most suffer through life needlessly. All it takes is reading the Bible and living what it says. Seek first the kingdom of God and He promises to be all that you need Him to be. God is ready to overwhelm you with more blessings than you could ever imagine so that you’ll always be taken care of in every way and you’ll have more than enough to share. (2Corinthians 9:8) How amazing is that? He is waiting to overwhelm you with blessing. So why don’t you have it? Have you obeyed His commandment to seek first the kingdom of God? Have you loved God with all your heart, your soul, and your mind? Blessings come with obedience. And the wonderful part of that is that the obedience only brings you more joy. Setting yourself to know God is not punishment, it’s awesome. He knows your deepest concerns and wants to work it all out for you. He wants to overwhelm you with blessing. All He asks is that you give yourself to Him in total trust. Yes, it’s a lot to ask, but you were made to love and trust Him. And when you do, the blessings will flow. God loves to show mercy. Let me say it again. God loves to show mercy. He is not hesitant or indecisive or tentative in his desires to do good to his people. God is never irritable or edgy. His anger never has a short fuse. Instead he is infinitely energetic with absolutely unbounded and unending enthusiasm for the fulfillment of his delights. This is hard for us to comprehend, because you have to sleep every day just to cope, not to mention thrive. You go up and down in your enjoyments. You get bored and discouraged one day and feel hopeful and excited another. Gods intent is not just to bless you, but to make you a source of blessing. Wow! you are blessing dynamo. You set up cycles of blessing wherever you go. ANYONE THAT BLESSES YOUSHALL BE BLESSED. But there is a reverse side of the blessing: ANYONE THAT CURSES YOU SHALL BE CURSED! Walk in the consciousness of your covenant of blessing with God today. That’s the way God is about doing you good. He never grows weary of it. It never gets boring to him. GOD BLESS YOU!!!
