GOD OWNS NEXT Psalm 39:4,6, “Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom; in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth without knowing whose it will finally be. But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in You.” The only way we can give God the honour He deserves is to give God next. ‘Next’ means the future, the moment to come. We live now, God lives next; we own now, God owns next. If you know that you are expected to use today’s supplies and let tomorrow be, you would not misuse today’s supplies. The cause of killing, stealing and destruction is the urge to build up treasures for ourselves here on earth. When you know that next belongs to God, you will reverence Him. Worrying about next, tomorrow cripples our ability to think, act and exercise faith in the present and the present only is ours. Each day God sends His loving aids to strengthen and assist us. Learn to use today’s supplies for today’s trouble and let tomorrow, next be.
