GOD is A white Man,I wont Worship A white Men Eva Again. From the days of colonial evangelists, the white man has been able to sell (with success) the concept of a white God/Jesus to black people and hence unconsciously the white man can do little wrong because we have equated the white man to God. If you don’t believe me, go to any Catholic Church in Nelspruit and paint an effigy of a black Jesus or a black mother Mary or black flying angels and tell me how many white people (even black people) will return to that church the following Sunday. The irony of the statements made by Samuel Baker is that in actual fact black people are very spiritual people and have always been throughout history. uNkulunkulu, Modimo, uThixo/uQamata etc are terms referring to God that existed way before the evangelists and their fellow colonisers could land on our shores. The biggest irony is that I know of no black person who has confessed ever seeing the image of whiteness in reference to this African God.
