GOD is so awesome. His plan for our lives is bigger than we would ever imagine or think up ourselves. Today has been one of the most uplifting, motivating and love-filled days I have experienced in a very lobg time. Today I had the pleasure of celebrating my friends graduation from Wilmington University. Tylisha Johnson is an amazing woman. She has stood the test and her faithfulness to the master has earned her favor,prosperity and his faithfulness. After graduation I had the privilege to break bread with her mother and father and daughter. We then surprised her with topping her day off by inviting her AVID students from Cape to celebrate with her. It was a testimony to why we as teachers do what we do every day. We shared stories, joked, dreamed, set 5 year goals and even shed tears for 3 hours. It was magical. As an educator your hope is to say or do something that will inspire your students. When one student gets it, as s n educator you feel a sense of accomplishment. But it is one thing for many students to get it and then thank you for all youve done. AVID IS A FAMILY. Weve always said it but tonight it showed. After saying all of this, heres the real blessing today. While we were reminiscing and sharing visions a young lady was overhearing our conversation. She was sooo inspired by our RELATIONSHIP and the accomplishments of our kids that she ended up speaking life into us. #Godwillusewhohewantswhenhewants.
