GOD morning brethren -Luke 14 vs 25-33 The Cost of Being a Disciple 26 “If you want to be my disciple, you must hate everyone else by comparison—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple. 27 And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. 28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? 29 Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. 30 They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’ 33 So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own. in our environment stand buildings that that is left unfinished.Evidently someone tried undertaking a project building that was huge for his commitments.Every time i walk down the street , i find myself smiling with sympathy.Somebody ran out of money or focus.that happens to me too.in the same it is easy 4 us to get baptized or take Christ as our Lord and saviour bt neglect to follow all that is required of the decision we made.Often our Christianity sits up on the foundation just like all these buildings that are left unfinished.Our Christianity can not be just another project we meant to get to later.just like living that house for a long time rats a,snakes .grass and all kind of insects will occupy the building also is the same in your life all bad circumstances will occupy ur life. Thes are question to ask urself this week *what are the question u find asking God? *what question God might have put to you? *how would your life be if u were not a christian? *what aspects of ur life remains unfished with ur commitment to God? *how can u tie up these loose ends BEGIN THESE WEEK TO WORK ON THE BIG PICTURE.REPAIR BROKEN FRIENDSHIP,CLEAN OUT CLOSET DECIDE WHAT IS IMPORTANT AND FOCUS UR ENERGY ON BUILDING THE KINGDOM OF GOD SO U CAN FINISH WHAT U STARTED AND BE A TRUE DISCIPLE.
