GODFREY KAMANYA COMMITTES SUCIDE Former Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister in People’s Party government, Godfrey Kamanya committed suicide around 3am today. Reports allege he shot himself on the chest because of political reasons. He has left a will and suicide note including his preferred funeral arrangements. The note includes reasons for his suicide which are yet to be disclosed by the police. According to the information reaching zibani Zambia,Mr Kamanya locked himself in one of the rooms in his house before shooting himself. He had told his wife he intends to travel to Zambia and asked her to prepare bath water for him. Minutes later his wife heard a gunshot and alerted the wife to Ulemu Chilapondwa to inform her husband, Minister of Transport. They rushed to Kamanya’s house in area 10 in Lilongwe where they had to break down the door but found him already dead. In the suicide note, Kamanya also asked Joyce Banda to take care of his daughter and provide for her education. Police are in still investigating the matter. PP officials have already gathered at Kamanya’s residents. More details later
