GODS PROMISE TO THE JEWS MATTERS TO THE CHURCH! If God refuses his promises to the Jews, does it matter to the Church? Yes it does matter. If God breaks promises, he robs the Church of eternal security. It will be gone and will confuse prophecy of the Scriptures. 4 proofs that God is not done with Jews. Romans 11:1 (KJV) 1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Paul was a Jew and was saved. Romans 11:2-5 (KJV) 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying, 3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. 4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. The history of God dealing with Israel was spoken in the old tesament and further in the new testament. So the Jews are not forgotten and not forsaken. Romans 11:11-12 (KJV) 11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? God has let the Jews be destroyed because they have fallen from the truth. But the Jews were the ones who taught the scriptures in the old testament days. The prophets wrote these things down and further in the future were taught by the priests to the people. The Jews fell away from God so much because they were so greatly pleased by the praise and worship they received from man. This way, Jesus came to the world for those Jews who did turn to the truth and to the Gentiles who have became known as the Church. Because of the Jews, the Church can receive salvation. All this is the workings of God. Then in the future, the Jews will have great salvation because the Church teaches the truth to the world and the Jews will also be the kind of people God wanted from the begining. Ephesians 3:1-6 (KJV) 3 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, 2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: So the Church should be people who are followers of Jesus who do as Jesus commands as described in the gospels. The mysteries of Christ were in secret in the old tesament, but were revealed in the new testament that testify that the Church is taught these secrets by God and we must teach even to the Jews of these things. Romans 11:18 (KJV) 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. Do not take action as though you are better than those who have turned from the truth or only believe what they want to believe of the truth. We give nothing to the truth from ourselves because only Jesus can do so. We must let Jesus live and work through us as the scriptures say. Israel had the truth first, but did not understand it. The Church came to existence because of Israel.
