GOD’S NOT MAD AT YOU! ~~ “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christs physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation- if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel.” [Col 1:21-23] There IS a time when the wrath of God will be poured out upon the ‘world’ because of its unwillingness to receive the mercy and grace that has been extended to the world thru the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins – But for the born-again child of God who has acknowledged their sin and received the redemption that comes thru faith in Christ –We have PEACE with God! • “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ - Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” [Romans 5:1-2] --------------------------------------------------------------- DID YOU NOTICE THAT THE SCRIPTURE TELLS US THAT WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD? That’s because the blood of Jesus has cleansed us of all sin and we are no longer guilty before God. That means that God’s NOT mad at US! No need to worry about reprisals or punishment of our past sins – No need live in daily fear wondering if we are ‘good enough’ – No need to wonder if we ‘qualify for God’s blessings’ -- Because Jesus did it ALL for us! He reconciled us to God thru His blood on the cross and God became our adopted Father. • “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” [Romans 8:1-2] --------------------------------------------------------------------- SO MANY OF GOD’S PEOPLE ARE OPPRESSED WITH GUILT AND CONDEMNATION. But guilt and condemnation are tools of the devil that he uses to rob the people of God of their ‘confidence IN God. You see guilt and condemnation brings forth fear – And fear is NOT from God! • “Since the children have flesh and blood, Christ also shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death-that is, the devil - And free those who all their lives were held in slavery BY THEIR FEAR of death.” [Hebrews 2:14-15] If you are a child of God – If you have been born-again – IF you know Christ as your savior – Then there is no longer any need to walk in fear or condemnation of your past sins – The blood of Jesus has washed you clean - Your sins are forgiven – And God has ACCEPTED you as His own dearly loved child! --------------------------------------------------------------------- DOES THAT MEAN THAT I CAN JUST GO ON SINNING? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? ... Dont you know that we have been set free from sin? ... When Christ died (For us) , he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.... In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. [Romans 6:2, 8-14] -------------------------------------------------------------------- FREE OF SIN – GUILT & CONDEMNATION! My friends, Christ came not just to set us free sin – but also from the CONSEQUENCES of sin. To make us FREE – and enable us to live the glorious, abundant life that God has ordained for us - - Free from fear and worry about anything. Therefore beloved, as the scriptures say: “We implore you on Christs behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (be in right-standing with God) [2Corinthinans 5:20-21] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- READ THE FULL ARTICLE: biblecities/Not_Guilty.htm DOWNLOAD OR LISTEN ONLINE FOR FREE: The full 5-part series is available online for free: “Not Guilty! biblecities/broadcasts_audio.htm GET IT ON CD: biblecities/CDs_Not_Guilty.htm FOLLOW ON TWITTER: twitter/#!/pastorslyde #JesusChrist #Redemption #Grace #LoveofGod #NotGuilty #NoCondemnation #Holy Spirit #Faith #BornAgain #Christian #ChildofGod
