GOD’s desperate love for HIS sheep Sermon 2 We will continue the reading and understanding of the scriptures from Ezekiel chapter 34. In the last sermon we learned how the Heart of the FATHER in Heaven is seeking the justice done to HIS sheep. GOD is the Judge of all. HE is seeking to find good and sincere shepherds to watch over HIS beloved people. Why is this important issue for GOD? Why HE has to worry for us? Why the right guide and their guidance is such a critical matter today? Let’s dive deep into the ocean of HIS Word to understand this important concern of your LORD. Continue reading of Ezekiel 34 7 ‘Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD: 8 “As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock”— 9 therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the LORD! 10 Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them.” Should we consider all the spiritual teachers, counselors, Pastors, Rabbis, Reverends, and all designated authorities in the religious institutions are corrupted? No! GOD is not blaming all. I personally know many Pastors and Rabbis; who are serving the LORD with complete faithfulness. One time I told my Pastor that the more he speaks the truth from the pulpit; the more I pray for him and his family. But, the fact is that such faithful servants are not found in great numbers. You are also observing the mind blowing misinterpretation of GOD’s commandments all over the world by the major denominations and renowned religious groups. The heart breaking issue is that they are carrying the Name of GOD on them. A little act on their part towards ‘representation of the true Will of GOD’ to the public goes out to the world in seconds through news media. They have twisted the truth of GOD’s commandment to suit their own evil doings. Satisfaction of the flesh is a greater priority to them, than the saving of souls, and sanctification of the spirit in the will of the LORD. Isaiah 5:18, “Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, And sin as if with a cart rope;” The will of the LORD is perfect for all mankind, and devil is at war against GOD’s will. Why? Because, satan knows that his days are numbered. We read in Revelation 12:12, “Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” Truthfully devil knows that we are living in End Times; but mankind is denying this fact. Why? Because they love this temporary earth and its temptations more than the GOD and HIS Will. We ‘humans’ have very limited vision and hearing without the counsel of the HOLY SPIRIT. We are seeking the things only in the physical realm; but GOD is looking at the physical as well as in the spiritual realm. In 2 Corinthians 4:18 we learn that, “while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” See what your FATHER in Heaven is looking at in verse 8 of Ezekiel 34, “My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock…” I wish you can see the tears in the eyes of your GOD, when devil is tearing apart his sheep in pieces. This sheep of GOD has been strayed away from HIM very deceptively through many channels. Satan is one of the best psychologists. Devil controls mind with an inborn sin of pride, ego and greed generative in every human flesh due to sin. Let me explain you how. GOD has instructed mankind to run away from the temptations of the world, because the prince of the air is devil. Ephesians 2:2 “in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,” You will not disagree with me that mankind had never been engrossed in the lust of their temptations of the things of the world ever before; more than in today’s scientifically advanced society. The whole world is lost in the lust of newer things like cars, cell phones, computer and many other gadgets. Technology is not evil, but worshiping technology is evil. Satan is using these resources to separate mankind from their GOD extensively. We can use the same technology to glorify and serve GOD; rather than using them to entertain us 24/7. The entertainment media is a number one resource of the forces of darkness, to separate us from our GOD. The more people lust after the luxuries and temptations of the world, the more miserable and unsatisfied they get. They become bonded in devil’s trap. They become what GOD says, “My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field”, Satan even tried to tempt JESUS of the glory of the world, if HE would bow before him. In Matthew 4 we read, “8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” The only way mankind can overcome the tricks of devil is by doing what JESUS told satan, “‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.” Satan’s best resource to devour GOD’s people is evil shepherds like Judas Iscariot. Matthew 26 “14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. 16 So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.” The greed was the reason of betrayal of Judas; and for the same very reason many others have done the same. The lust of the wealth and treasures of this earth have blinded many shepherds of GOD to betray HIM. They will support the work of devil for sake of their personal gain and for their worldly reputation. They will not fear GOD to mislead HIS sheep into the self made doctrines to suit the pursuits of the sinners and evil doers of this world. They change the truth of GOD with lies. They will call evil good and good evil. They will support the evil cause of the prestigious and wealthy rulers of this earth. They will not fear the LORD, but fear the men in power. Satan had always used the influential spiritual leaders in power to devour GOD innocent sheep. Satan is still using the same strategy today; because the logo of GOD is hanging on the neck of these corrupted and greedy leaders of the Churches or Temples. What other best resource devil can find to mislead the precious and innocent sheep scattered all over the world. Looking at evil works of so called GOD’s people innovate common people to walk away from GOD. They are becoming the food of the forces of darkness, due to the many Judas Iscariots all over the world. The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY of this universe will Judge them fairly; as we read, 9- therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the LORD! 10 Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them.” We will continue the reading of Ezekiel chapter 34 to understand the deep concern of our LORD GOD ALMIGHTY for our generation today!
