GOING HOME Thursdays therapies went well and John is with Jack - TopicsExpress

GOING HOME Thursdays therapies went well and John is with Jack tonight. The Fletchers heard around 4 pm today that the compassion grant, for an extra week stay, did not apply. FRIDAY AFTERNOON; Jacks heading home! This could be very comforting for The Fletcher family to be all under one roof together! Everyone can be in their own beds. This can help move toward normalizing the situation. JACK IS READY TO GO HOME!!! This will be a big adjustment for John, Kelly and Emma as all his care will be on their shoulders to navigate; it needed to happen and they are ready to take care of their boy/brother. Learning the new normal and how to best care for Jack as he heals is the task at hand. OUTPATIENT THERAPY The Fletchers will need to identify outpatient therapists (most likely in Vancouver/Battle Ground area) that is covered by their insurance. MEALS Thanks to all that have provided meals; currently all meals are covered until October 12th. Its important to continue providing meals for a bit longer as they navigate this new situation. NOTE, there will be a lot of going/coming to doctor and therapy appointments. If you would like to offer a meal, please contact Kathi Dobbins, via email, skdobbins@msn Jack still needs pureed food until the bones heal in his jaw/face, but nothing a magic bullet cant do or a blender. The Fletchers are extremely grateful for all the care that Jack received from OHSU, Doernbechers, and finally at Legacy Randalls Children Hospital. They are equally grateful to all of you! Tomorrow is another big step for Jack in the recovery process!
