FEB 1/14 UVic prospective students...“I want to be in theatre!” Learn about the University of Victoria’s approach to theatre arts, home to the Phoenix Theatre. “I want to be in theatre!” is a free, one-day information session offering an opportunity to tour the three theatres, observe a rehearsal, meet students, faculty and staff, learn about specializations, and how to apply. FEB 12/14 Engineering High School Tours The Faculty of Engineering will host an engineering high school tours day on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Faculty, students and staff will open the doors to prospective students and showcase the fields of engineering and computer science through hands-on activities, guest lectures and department fairs. Interested participants must register for either the morning (8:45 am - 12:45 pm) or afternoon (12:15 pm - 4:00 pm) session via: uvic.ca/engrtours Contact [email protected] for more information. Phase 1 Self-reporting is open until November 30, 2013 Students in grade 12 can apply now at uvic.ca/apply for September 2014 admission to UVic. By applying now, you will be able to self-report your final grade 11 marks online at uvic.ca/self-reporting until November 30 to be considered for early admission. Self-reporting of grade 12 marks (Phase 2) will open February 1 to March 31, 2014. Note: to be considered for grades based entrance scholarships, you must also self report your grades during Phase 2. FEB 28/14 Black Press scholarship for business applicants A $5,000 Black Press Business Scholarship is available to high school, transfer and continuing students entering the University of Victoria Gustavson School of Business in September 2014. Awards will be based on academic merit, leadership and a demonstrated desire to make a positive difference in the world. To be eligible, you must apply to the BCom program and have submitted all scholarship documents to UVic. The scholarship deadline is February 28, 2014. MAR 31/14 Entrance Scholarships UVic awards entrance scholarships to outstanding September 2014 applicants. To be considered, you must be admitted and self-report your grade 12 marks (February 1 to March 31, 2014). Students with an average of 85% or higher will be offered scholarship between $2,000 and $26,000.
