GOOD FOR FOOD? “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” Genesis 6:3. Verse 7 reports that “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and make themselves aprons.” What you see to be good for food may not be good for your future. Adam and Eve ate their destiny with their mouth. This all began when man allowed a strange folk into his sphere of influence; gave him the voice to question his sound, God-given belief system and eventually amplified lies and deceit that eventually overwhelmed him. And this is what deceit does: • It stimulates your appetite for instant gratification at the expense of your future manifestation: “… the woman saw that the tree was good for food” • It employs your sensual judgment at the expense of God’s counsel which is always supernatural, intangible and controls the physical: “…and that it was pleasant to the eyes. • It arouses the lust of the flesh. Self and selfish ambitions will be dug up and adorn as being desirable Carnal desires that wars with fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5 takes the center stage: “…and a tree to be desired to make one wise.” All of these eventually lead to what I call THE BIG BANG - a painful fall from glory! A productive deceit in the eyes of the deceiver; but a destructive outcome to the deceived: “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and make themselves apron.” Now, did it end up being GOOD FOR FOOD; PLEASANT TO THE EYES; AND BEING DESIRABLE? Thus, in the absence of the GLORY God crowned them with, they had to now make aprons from FIG LEAVES to cover the GORY SITUATION they have found themselves – Beloved, it may be APPEALING NOW, ARE YOU SURE IT WILL NOT BECOME DEMEANING IN THE NEXT TWO SECONDS? I want to end this insight this way: EAT WHAT WILL SUSTAIN YOU FOR YOUR DESTINY IN LIFE AND GURANTEE YOUR PLACE IN GOD’S PRESENCE PER TIME; AND NOT JUST WHAT WILL SUSTAIN YOUR STOMACH, APPETITE AND DESIRES. What you eat today will either make you desirable or despicable in the next minute. Beware of what you eat! God delights in you; make Him fulfilled creating YOU! There’s NO LIMIT to what GOD can achieve through you! I love you. Wisdom Mgbebuihe, Life Speaker
