GOOD LUCK TO BARNEY HALL...I have known Barney Hall since I heard him on the radio..He is the most open and honest person I have ever meet...I first him in 1976 in Columbia SC ..Yes the old Columbia Speedway in West Columbia ...Later in 1986 Barney would do our radio show every time we broadcast from a race ..Charlotte..North Willkesboro..Rockingham..were ever..He was a big fan of our show living in Elkin NC and I could call him and say Barney were going be doing the show from so and so Speedway from 5 till 10 can you come ...He never turned me down....He is just a great guy and if he had a ego..I never saw it..All I saw was Barney ..The kind of guy you would want your sister to Marry...He has been pondering retirement for a few years but he loves he;s job and now he says its time...Friends I Always had my radio on if I was home ..RACE DAY i grilled outside and listen to MRN and Barney..He was to me the eye of a Hurricane ..If a wreck took place and all the other guys were talking about the spinning and banging on the track ,they would all go back to Barney,, Cool and collective Barney would bring it all in to perspective and clam everybody down and the millions tuned in...Barney thank you Sir for all you did to make NASCAR what it is today..We love BARNEY HALL.....I Hope he reads this because it comes from my heart...
