GOOD MORNING! All is well at Cooper Corner (giggle) everyone had a great morning and are now at school! My veggie/beef soup turned out great ( best I ever made) matter of fact, I had 2 bows of it this morning around 3 ish :) Some is in the fridge and the rest is in the freezer, gonna do the chicken noodle soup tonight! LOKS IKE THE GOP STRUCK BACK! ITS TIME WE START TURNING THIS COUNTRY AROUND! The other day when I was at Meijers, I encountered something strange, every time I go there I do the same thing as Im checking out. (everyone there knows me and how I do things) Well I was checking out in my normal fashion when a lady got in line waiting for me to finish. I guess she thought I was done and she began scanning her items. I looked at her and let her know I wasnt done yet, she acted amazed and stopped. Once everything is bagged and in my cart I go to finish up, when I got back to the screen it was blank. I looked at her and asked what happened, she said it said something about cancelling the order then went blank. Well in all the years Ive been going there, Ive never had this happen, so I mentioned it would only go blank if someone hit a button. She denied that and went to another aisle to check out ( but left the items shed already scanned on my screen.) I mentioned how strange this was and that its never happened before, she just looked at me. The manager came over to see what was going on, we talked about it, she tried to retrieve my order, but it was lost, the only thing I could do was leave my groceries or re-scan everything. I let her know in a nice way that I wasnt going to re-scan all the stuff, so she volunteered to scan and another worker bag. By the time decisions were made, I had every worker in the self check out lanes at my lane trying to help. As I watched the chaos unfold, I directed the workers to go back to work and help other customers, the manager and I would handle this. All the customers in the lanes around me, smiled and cheered me on, ( I felt so important lol jk) so thats what we did, the manager scanned all my items again, an I bagged them. One lady even stood in the aisle so no one else could use the aisle I was in until I was done. I was so frustrated beyond words, so I just kept silent and did my job. The lady that messed up my screen walked out as if nothing had happened. I told the manager, had I not been so tired and felt better, I would have dealt with this situation in a manner that lady would not have appreciated funny thing is, the manager said, I dont blame you one bit. I think God puts me in situations like this from time to time just to test me to see how Im gonna respond. Had this been a few yeas ago, I would have responded in a very different way and I would have made my point very clear, but the past couple of years, Ive been in situations and have dealt with them totally opposite of what some would call Vickis Norm I know God is doing something in me, because things arent like they used to be ( in me anyway) Ive been tested, tried and didnt mar the name of Jesus in my responses. Dont get me wrong, I still have those times when Ive got to take a step back, think before I speak, and then decide how Im gonna handle a situation, and of course there are times when I fail. But thats ok too, growth doesnt happen overnight, its a process and as long as we are trying, then the growing will come easier than it would of we bucked it. So the next time a situation arises, and youd normally handle it in your special way, think before you react, then allow God to take control. Youll feel much better, not only about yourself, but about the situation in general. But more important, others will see what God is doing in you. Most of the time, we are the only Bible others will ever read :) HAVE A GREAT DAY!
