There are ten different roles manager and owner can assume: TEACHER, GUIDE, COUNSELOR, MOTIVATOR, SPONSOR, COACH, ADVISOR, REFERRAL AGENT, ROLE MODEL and a DOOR OPENER. Which role you assume depends on the needs of your employees and on the relationship you build with your employees. On any given day, your employee may require you to perform one of these roles, or all of them. For Example: You may begin your day assuming the role of teacher, when suddenly your employee experiences performance difficulties. You change direction to fulfill your role as coach, steering slightly toward the role of advisor as your employees asks for advice on a satisfactory course of action. Over time, and with experience, you will learn how to assume different roles more easily. I have learned from the best as they apply their experience on me.
