HEAT WAVE CONTINUES INTO THE WEEKEND, SLIGHTLY BETTER CHANCE OF A FEW THUNDERSHOWERS LATE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY, SLIGHTLY COOLER NEXT WEEK Todays weather is brought to you by Lee Company Our string of 90 degree plus days continues with another scorcher today. The combination of heat and humidity will make it feel like its near 100 this afternoon and again Friday afternoon. Keep yourself hydrated if you are outdoors for any length of time. There will be a few scattered afternoon showers mainly over the Cumberland Plateau again today. Tonight will be quiet but muggy with lows near 70 degrees. A quick warm up each morning with low 90s by lunchtime and low to mid 90s in the afternoon There may be a slightly better chance of some late afternoon or evening thundershowers Friday evening into Friday night and again on Saturday. There will still be enough sunshine Saturday to boost temperatures into the low 90s. Right now Sunday appears to be dryer and still hot with highs in the low 90s. There are indications more showers and some thunderstorms could cool us off a bit Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Keep your fingers crossed!
