GOOD MORNING JACKSON..Thursday..46 degrees here on the Ridge..Walked outside and breathed some fresh mountain..AIR..then came in and sat on my Deacons Bench..and. talked and Prayed to..GOD and JESUS..then thought of the book Bloody Breathitt and how justice was meted out by the individual..and how the Lawyers finally took over the justice system and figured out how to use it to make money by taking Mineral rights and property from those caught up in the system..I got involved in watching this kind of justice while covering the news for the Radio Station after getting out of the Army by getting acquainted with the Circuit Judge and Lawyers and the Prosecuting attorney when the Judge told me He had seen many man need killed and never a horse need stole as witnessed by his sentences..where a fellow charged with killing his friend while drunk claiming self defense..who got only a short sentence than mostly probation.,while some young boys who broke into a candy machine got over 10 years in the State Penetionary..and another man who was charged with murder while killing his friend who first shot at him..was offered leniency if he signed over his mineral rights and small farm..but the man said Judge my family can fare better without me and keep the farm..so he went to jail..The prosecutor who later became my partner in a Coal Truck and other business ventures..said he had the power of life or death by deciding who caught up in the system would be prosecuted or not..But those individuals are dead and gone now and our system is working well..and we reap the benefits of those who suffered..and are able to live peaceful lives unafraid of a tainted process..That why yesterday I went to the Bank and hugged the tellers and to the Courthouse to liscence my truck hugging the Clerk who goes to my Church..unafraid that some jealous spouse would take offence and want to fight me..So weve come a long way Baby..So like Thelma I have a hard time moving some where else what ever the reason because to many have given their lives so we could enjoy our lives here where we know evryone and they know me..So sorry for the long boring post about the past..and Ill close now saying we live in the best place on Earth..but I will ask you to get up and thank GOD and JESUS for another day of.,Life..and to be kind and nice and to do something nice for Someone Else..So enjoy and be happy and surely GOD and JESUS will bless us..ALL..but I WILL TALK LATER........LOVE JERRY..
