GOOD MORNING WORLD! As most of you know by now, Pat Cruz and l are engaged. We each have travelled a long rough journey this past 15-17 months. Pat lost her husband 2 months before I lost my wife. Though from different lives, different experiences, our journeys have been similar. Our choices to move forward have followed similar paths. We both knew what we wanted for the future. We wanted more than a companion; we wanted a partner for life. Many things, that could only have been guided by Gods hand, led us together, to this moment. Neither of us have, nor ever will forget our spouses. We freely talk about Kat and Edward. This past weekend, while at South Padre Island beach, we said our hellos to Kat, and last night we visited Edward at the cemetery. They are part of who we are. We have chosen to continue our journey into the future together, as husband and wife. We do so with eyes and mind wide open, knowing the path may not be easy, but at the same time secure in the knowledge that with the Lord by our side, that same path will be made smoother. We wish to thank our families and friends who have wished us well in the last few hours. My hope is that our stories coming together inspire you, give you hope for the future paths of your own journeys.
