GOOD NEWS! Finally got the gardens cleaned up( with a little tugging and chopping and pulling)LOL. (see photo)The plans to Raise the height of the BEDS have been discussed. The raised beds are not deep enough for the Tomato and Pepper roots to reach their true potential . The U>S Agriculture states that the beds must be over 17 inches deep in order to obtain a GOOD Crop. Now the garden is ready for the addition of three more inches. This is not an expensive endeavour and very easy to do before the Winter sets in and the new height and added soil will have a chance to integrate and blend (marry). This will truly assure a BUMPER CROP better than this years, which was very much enjoyed by the Residents ,(see photo). Thanks to Tiffany and activities for the distribution. This year in order to protect the Garlic from freezing (as last year) were planted in the Large ground pots which will be stored under the Newly raised beds, protected from severe winter.
