GOOD NEWS: On show at Mobilia Gallery, Cambridge, Massachusets are three 2m x 1m Artworks I recently painted for an exhibition The New Textiles / Exploring Textile Art opening Oct 10 - Nov 15. Any readers passing through the Boston area this month with time to visit read more here: mobilia-gallery/exhibits/2014_NewTextiles/index.html Charming website instructions for how to find the Gallery walking from Harvard Square: Walk or drive down historic Brattle Street, away from the square, through a residential area. If you are walking on Brattle Street, note the homes with blue signage - you can view the homes of Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, among other noteworthy historical figures. Take a right at Fayerweather street (the first intersection with traffic lights). Proceed down Fayerweather to Huron Avenue and turn left. Mobilia Gallery is located at 358 Huron Ave. in the second block, on the left-hand side, at the corner of Gurney Street and Huron Avenue. Across the street you will see the Cambridge Trust Company, a red brick building. Wish I was going to be there to meet the lovely Libby Cooper whos assembled this fascinating show featuring some leading textile artists as well as emerging artists. Do pass this on if you have friends in this part of the States!
