GOOD NEWS UPDATE Lets hope the eagles use it:) for the Bald Eagle Nest that was removed on Yale rd,after contacting the Ministry of FLNR I was forwarded this in an email and thought Id share! Good News Compliments to Jack Evans of MFLNR,Thank you again!And Thank you David Hancock for your awareness and work you do! It reads... Hi All: Please note that the Mitigation for the Bald Eagle Nest Removal on Yale Road, Chilliwack BC has been completed as discussed. The supplemental nest platform has been constructed in an adjacent tree some 80m to the NE along the same creek. This was constructed via the Hancock Wildlife Foundation team as discussed. Attached are a few images of the event taken by Scott Martin and David Hancock from the ground and by Myles Lamont up the tree as he executed the construction. The nest seems a very substantial structure and we now just await the arrival of the occupants. As you know this territory also contains an alternative nest about 250 m to the west. We of course do not know the reasons the eagles abandoned that site about 3 years ago. Perhaps we have now given them some alternatives to ponder. Thanks David Hancock
