GOOD NEWS! With all the depressing news about fracking and drilling, sometimes its easy to oversee the good news. The International Energy Agency has just reported that renewable energy grew at its fastest ever pace in 2013, and now generates almost a quarter of the worlds energy needs! ejus.tc/1pm3j3e The boom was led by a surge in renewable energy investment in countries like China and Japan, and the report says that in fast developing countries like Brazil and South Africa, onshore wind was already a preferred option over a new coal or gas plant. The report did warn though that uncertain government policies especially in Europe and the U.S. may slow down the impressive growth. Earthjustice
