GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN: It is Not About Hate, Its About - TopicsExpress

GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN: It is Not About Hate, Its About Competence. I think there is a difference between critcizing GEJ and hating him. I vehemently oppose those hating him and I often discredit those who criticize him on issues other than competence and performance. As far as terrorism is concerned, I know that it is a very difficult issue not only for GEJ, but for many other Presidents as well. GEJ is just unlucky to come at a time when it is bedevilling our nation. However, what we require is for him to do more than he is currently doing. We are not asking him to be a magician. My other problem with him is how he tackles other issues particularly corruption. On the issue of cluelessness, I think the difference btw GEJ and most past Nigerian leaders is that, some of them seem to know the right thing to do but they simply refuse to do it. But GEJ seems like he always doesnt know what to do. One thing that currently concerns me a lot is that, our President seems to be gradually losing control of the military. I have observed that, if they have been following his orders strictly, terrorism would have reduced gradually. I recall, in his May 29 address, he categorically directed the military to wage a full war. But, what is happening on the ground? The military are reported to be running away from their duty posts. Anyway, the issue is not about GEJ but about Nigeria. GEJ has a tenure and he will leave at his destined time while we hope Nigeria will survive forever. No sane person will wish the president of his country to fail. But, the President of this country is widely believed at home and abroad to have failed unless he performs wonders before the end of his tenure.
