Daniel 1:8 Choice according to Concise Dictionary is the right or ability to choose, and the topic of today goes further to say that any choice you make determines the direction of your future. In todays scripture, David made a good and wise decision. He had the choice of dinning and wining in the kings palace, but he chose otherwise. He decided not to defile himself with the luxury in the palace. God saw him stand together with the other boys and nourished them more than those who fed on the kings meat and wine. God also gave them wisdom, knowledge and understanding in all visions so that Nebuchadnezzar could not find any match for them in his entire kingdom. Remember that the decision you take now determines the direction of your future here on earth and even afterwards, Joshua made a decision before the people of Israel to serve the Lord his God with his family, even if the people decide to do otherwise (Joshua 25:15-16). Beloved child of God, this is the right time for you to make up your mind, decide to obey God and not man (Acts 5:29). Whatever it will cost you, make the right decision. Once again, do not be afraid of men or their threats because of your decision, but only fear God and fear Him alone (Luke 12:4-5). Anything you may loose now as a result of your right decision cannot be compared to what you will gain in the future, which is the kingdom of God. Therefore, go for Gods kingdom and His righteousness and every other thing shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). May God give you understanding and a discerning spirit to make the right decision today, in Jesus name. Amen.
