Thoughts after #Lingaa Trailer and Audio launch speech Fact file : • The lead actor is 64 years old • The lead actor was deemed unfit to act because of health issues • A movie of this scale is to be completed in just 6 months • This is a comeback of sorts after 4 years in live action mode • Expectations are naturally sky high • People expect him to give a blockbuster by default • Haters and opportunists are waiting to jump the gun for every word he utters Imagine if the odds are stacked against you, What will you do? but this is not any normal person. As he himself stated Hes not an elephant, but a horse. He has faced many odds in life and has overcome them with élan every single time. It is very difficult to be Rajinikanth. When he was growing up, He was taunted for being a marati in karnataka. When he moved to chennai, He was branded a kannadiga (mind you, this didnt happen to Arjun and Murali), When he went to mumbai, they said here comes the madrasi. I think no one can embody the term Indian more than Rajinikanth. Very rightly have they made a song called Indianne Vaa. It is immensely sad, that a person who has taken Tamil Cinemas business to unchartered territories, opened up global Tamil market like no one has done before is being questioned time and again. He has a quality that is very rare and is found only in the most successful people. That quality is the ability to identify success. That is what makes successful people. Thats how you have an almost 100% hit record. I dont even have to vouch for the fact that #Lingaa is going to be an all time blockbuster. What has left me spellbound is the fact that Thalaivar has managed to reinvent himself time and again. Just when I thought, Lingaa will be a commercial blockbuster like KSRs other movies, He surprises us all by giving such grandeur visuals we come to expect off a Rajinikanth film post Sivaji (Thanks to Shankar).
