GOP women who are concerned for the Conservative Party: We - TopicsExpress

GOP women who are concerned for the Conservative Party: We take this opportunity to give insight into our dealings with Lori Urban as related to her history and current lack of leadership which has negatively impacted outcomes in the Paradise Republican Women’s Club and other various party-affiliated events. Our observations and experiences as they pertain to Ms. Urban’s lack of skills and her desire to be promoted to a high level position in the Arizona GOP are listed below. In our opinion, a position requiring diplomacy, integrity, and appropriate management abilities as related to Republican values, morals and ethics are lacking in this candidate. The list below is a basic delineation of substandard skills and abuses: Fails to give direction to committees in a timely manner Lacks skills in following-up with “time sensitive” communications to members and committees Demonstrates few abilities in prioritizing projects which result in “clashing priorities” Misuses club contact system by adding her own personal contact list which resulted in additional cost incurred by the club for e-mail distribution Inappropriate use of funds; i.e., used club account for personal funding Personal check payable to a Women’s Republican club returned to her for “insufficient funds” Use of improper procedures; i.e., untenably berated club board member in front of other members at a club board meeting after requesting the recording secretary to not record the incident in the minutes Lacks diplomatic skills when addressing members/volunteers Disregards Club’s By-Laws protocol while conducting meetings; i.e., no Executive Board or general meeting minutes appropriately drafted and approved for dissemination to Club membership Fails/refuses to involve members who volunteer their services for respective committees and projects as well as filling vacant board positions Insists on doing everything herself; i.e., website, etc., resulting in depicting a “control-style” management Continuously projects an unprofessional image (contrary to that of conservative women) Takes false “credit” for actions and activities of members and volunteers Fails to timely communicate pertinent state-wide activities and events Due to heavily involvement/over commitment in multiple organizations, she is unable to give 100% leadership time to president or chair responsibilities We are disappointed to report that Lori Urban has repeatedly demonstrated a lack of management skills in the above areas; hence, we ask “Why would we want to promote her to the position of Chairman, Arizona Republican Party?” Respectively, Rosalie Barley, 2012-2014 Executive Board member, Paradise Republican Women’s Club Laura Barton, 2013-2014 Member, Paradise Republican Women’s Club Jane Di Giulio, 2013-2014 Executive Board member, Paradise Republican Women’s Club Lisa Little, 2013-2014 Member, Paradise Republican Women’s Club
