GOSSIPING is BAD FOR YOU! So if YOU are a gossiper OR you have a friend who likes to gossip ... here is some advice: Put your hand over your mouth, sit down and SHUT UP! I’m only telling you to do this because I care about you and your health! LOL AND ... if you REALLY love your friends – you wouldn’t gossip with them because when you do it’s bad for them too! So you think I’m talking about karma and you don’t believe in karma? Well, that’s ok ... do you believe in SCIENCE? Then you’ll be thankful for what I am about to share. You ready for this? Ok ... here you go! GOSSIPING can make you FAT! It can make you SICK! It can make your life feel like CRAPOLA! AND ... OFTENTIMES when you hear gossip ... it’s not even the FULL TRUTH! Isn’t that just AWFUL! You want to know more? You do? Ok good ... because I’m just getting warmed up! Here is what I have learned. With everything you expose yourself to ... there is nothing more important than the thoughts you hold in your mind. We have on average 60,000 thoughts a day and the reality is not only are most of these thoughts the same thoughts we had yesterday ... but they are negative thoughts ... either something bad in the past or fearing something that could potentially happen in the future. The second we have these negative thoughts, is the second we release cortisol, “the stress hormone”, into our blood. Our thoughts create us. Most people think “situations” cause stress, depression or anxiety ... The reality is this - there is no situation in the entire Universe that can cause someone to experience anxiety. Not the situation itself. Once you understand this ... and are aware of it ... you can be set free by being aware of your thoughts and choosing to deliberately focus on more joyful, loving, healthy thoughts. Pretty cool, huh? Let’s take for example gossiping. What happens when you gossip? In order to gossip you have to hold a negative memory & negative thought inside your mind. You not only think about that negative memory ... you share it with the other person you are talking to. The second you hold a negative thought in your mind the bio chemistry of your brain changes and you release that Cortisol ... you remember, the “stress” hormone ... and that hormone goes into you blood which then weakens your immune system, inhibits the actions of your white blood cells, increases the changes of infection and even promotes weight gain ... ALL from gossiping ... All from your thinking. You can’t gossip without hurting yourself (and your friends! You want to be a good friend, don’t you? Well good friends don’t gossip ... Don’t forget that!) So remember, if you don’t want to get sick, fat and have a terribly life ... The next time you think about sharing gossip ... Just simply visualize putting a hand over your mouth and imagine hearing a voice that says “SIT DOWN and SHUT UP!” I’m telling you because ... hey, I care! lol (I seriously do!)
